![]() ![]() I've saved the game at a point where there are quite a number of trains approaching, just watch how easily this setup handles such volume. This time we have a 4 platform station at a power plant handling high amounts of traffic. Author: Chris DohertyĪnother savegame that shows how to use rail building strategy. Notice the two-lane dual tracks that run all the way from the farms on the eastern side of the map to the main station, allowing for a very high volume of traffic (the two modified cloverleafs also keep trains moving in the right direction). The main feature is a station by a steel mill and factory which has a very high throughput of trains. This savegame also highlights all of the concepts shown in this guide - this time the layout is a little more subdued. I think I may have gone a little overboard with some of the layout, but I'm more inclined to construct a nice looking, elaborate layout than one that is fully optimised for profitability. This savegame highlights all of the concepts shown in this guide (and a few extra things that don't get mentioned!) - however, much of it is taken to an extreme level. ![]() This savegame is an illustration of the "multiple slip switches" technique discussed in " Intersections".
